Our Story
Farm Fresh Food & Family Fun
The Schaiwind Farms story starts in 2013, when Nick and Taylor moved into their first farm in Woodville, Ontario. Together, they have three children; Rowan, Kaydence and Easton.

Nick grew up, and is employed full-time, on his family's local dairy farm, Schailyn Holsteins. Nick's farming roots originated when his Opa & Oma immigrated to Canada from Holland to start their own dairy operation. Nick's post-secondary studies at the University of Guelph earned him a Bachelor degree in Agriculture. Along with his interest in farming, he also has a creative side, through which he offers custom woodworking as well as CO2 laser engraving.

Taylor grew up riding and caring for horses on her family's local farm. Her passion for large animals, led her to pursue Veterinary Technician studies as well as managing her own livestock. Taylor was attracted to sheep due to their sustainability when managed within a grass based system; which also presented a unique and fun challenge of working with herding & guardian dogs. In 2020, she expanded her flock after taking on grazing contracts for local solar sites & now offers pasture-raised lamb!

Together, Nick & Taylor's goals are to implement intensive grazing & soil management practices on their own farm.
